Service Introduction

Image sharpening increases the contrast along the edges of elements within a photograph, creating a crisper, more detailed appearance. It is crucial for compensating for slight lens softness or preparing images for specific print resolutions.

Slightly soft photographs, scanned images lacking definition, or images being downsampled for web use where detail needs to be retained.

What The Process Involves

Important Considerations & Results

Results depend on: whether the image has severe motion blur (which cannot usually be fixed by standard sharpening). Sharpening cannot invent missing data. Results vary depending on the quality and condition of the original image.
